Zoe-perry
Perry is the daughter of actors Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. Her first roles on television were two appearances as Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) in The ABC sitcom Roseanne which was played by her mother. The parents of her didn't want her to perform until she turned an adult fearing the effect of stress. Perry shy and timid to perform in the school, began performing in the theater at Northwestern University because she wanted to make new acquaintances. After graduating Perry went into New York to search for television work landing small roles in series like Law & Order: Criminal Intent However, she was stricken by homelessness and brought her back to California which is where she discovered theatre work. In 2013 she performed in The Other Place on Broadway along with her mother. In 2015 she performed alongside her father as well as Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning play Anna Christie in the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. Perry played a role in 9 episodes of The Family, an ABC drama The Family in 2016. In 2017, Perry played a supporting role in ABC's political thriller Scandal that starred her father. The character she played was an older Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon. This spin-off series from CBS's The Big Bang Theory was an additional portrayal that was younger of her mother. The part was offered by audition despite the fact that she is a relative with the role.
